Advance happy vinayagar chathurthi friends... As my friend requested for kozhukattai recipe for this vinayagar chathurthi I made 3 varieties of kozhukattai.

Preparation time:10 minutes
Ingredients:
Raw rice/pacharisi 1/4cup
Jaggery 1/4cup
Coconut 1tablespoon grated
Cardamom 1pod
Water 1/4cup + 3/4cup
Oil to grease hands
Method:
Grind raw rice and cardamom coarsely in rava consistency.
Dissolve jaggery in 1/4cup of water and heat it till jaggery dissolves and strain it.
In a nonstick pan,add jaggery syrup,3/4cup of water and a tablespoon of grated coconut.
When it starts to rolling boil,add in raw rice powder.
Cook in low flame and cover the lid and cook for few minutes.
Stir it well and cook till it form as a whole mass.
Switch off the gas and allow it to cool.
Grease your hands with oil roll it into cylinder shape and press it using your finger.
Repeat till it over.
Steam it in a steamer and enjoy it with Lord Ganesha... :)

Take raw rice in a blender .
Add in cardamom.
Grind it to a coarse powder and set aside.
In a saucepan, add in jaggery.
Now add 1/4cup water.
Heat it till jaggery dissolves.
Strain it to remove dust particles.
In a nonstick pan,add jaggery syrup and add in 3/4cup of water.
Now add in a tablespoon of grated coconut.
When it starts to rolling boil,add in raw rice powder.
It will get thickened quickly.
Close the lid and cook for few minutes, once it form to whole mass switch off the gas.
Grease your hands and roll it into cylinder shape.
Give impression using your fingers.
Repeat till it over.
Steam it using steamer.
Serve hot.
