Turmeric powder:
  • Natural antiseptic.
  • Effective in cold and cough.

Dry roasted peanuts for 2minutes in low flame. Remove to plate and set aside.
Take everything in a blender and add in turmeric powder, nutmeg powder.

Sieve it to get fine powder. Take the coarse powder in blender again pulse it for 5seconds 2times in a interval of 5seconds.
Sieve it to get fine powder. Take the coarse powder in blender again Pulse it for 5seconds 2times in a interval of 5seconds.
Sieve it to get fine powder. Hereafter if you grind it you won't get powder nuts will starts to leave its oil and it will become paste.
I store fine powder separately in a airtight container and coarse powder in another airtight container.

Stepwise pictures:
Dry roast pista in low flame till it leaves nutty flavour.

Remove to a plate and set aside to cool.
Dry roast cashews in a low flame till it leaves nutty flavour.

Remove this to a plate and set aside to cool.
Dry roast almonds in a low flame till it leaves nutty flavour.
Remove to a plate and set aside to cool.
Dry roast roasted gram dal for 2 minutes in a low flame.
Remove to a plate and set aside to cool.
Dry roast groundnuts for 2 minutes in a low flame.
Remove this to a plate and set aside to cool.
Mix everything.
Take this in a blender.

Add in turmeric powder.
Add in nutmeg powder.(grate it and add it)
Pulse it for 5seconds 2times in a interval of 5seconds.
You'll get a coarse powder.
Sieve it to a fine powder.
See it has coarse powder.
Add this to blender again Pulse it for
5seconds 2times in a interval of 5seconds.
Still it is coarse mixture.

Sieve it well. Again you'll get coarse mixture.

Add this to blender again Pulse it for
5seconds 2times in a interval of 5seconds.
See it has few lumps due to nut releasing its oil. Sieve it well. Don't grind again else you'll get paste instead of powder.

Store this in a airtight container.
Store coarse powder separately.

Notes:
  • You can add walnuts too as it tastes bitter I didn't use it.
  • If you are giving this to babies below 1 year blanch the almonds before roasting.
  • Don't over grind else you won't get powder.
  • This recipe was suggested by our paediatrician.
  • If you already introduced all the nuts separately, and your baby didn't get allergies then you can give to baby above 8 months.
  • If your baby is allergic then don't try it before 1year.
  • Some baby has allergies for nuts so better consult your paediatrician before introducing it.
  • Dry roast everything in low flame.
  • As it is homemade better store it in airtight container and refrigerat it.
  • It keeps good for a month.
  • You can use this in many recipes. Add a teaspoon of this powder in porridge, pancakes, roti and for elder kids you can add with milk.
  • Coarse powder can be added for many recipes like ladoos, milkshake, etc. Will share those recipe soon.
  • Always consult your paediatrician before introducing new food in your kids diet.

Stay tuned for upcoming recipes. Bye bye.
