Atta ka sheera/wheat flour halwa

Sindhuraj     21:09:00     halwa, sweet, wheat flour     No comments

Hey dear visitors...I am here with another diwali sweet. Wheat flour halwa is one of the easiest sweet but you need lot of patience.

This is not traditional halwa recipe. Traditional recipe starts from whole wheat to halwa. Its long process so takes long time. I'll share it soon.

I searched simple halwa recipe and found this. This tastes great. Hope you love it and give it a try also don't forget to share your recipes.

Preparation time:5minutes
Cooking time:30minutes
Makes:3/4cup

Ingredients:

Wheat flour/atta 1/4cup
Ghee 2tablespoon
Sugar 1/2cup
Water 1/2cup+2tablespoon
Cardamom 2crushed
Raisins 4

Method:

Melt in ghee and measure it.
Add in ghee and wheat flour in a pan.
Roast it in low flame for atleast 20 minutes. This is major part in this recipe so be patience.
Add in water and mix it well without any lumps. It will become a whole mass. Once it starts leaving its sides add in sugar.
Again it becomes gooey and shiny.
Stir it often till it leaves its sides. Add in cardamom powder or crushed powder and mix well. Add in raisins and mix well.
If it's too dry add in a tablespoon of ghee but I didn't add.
Transfer this to ghee greased bowl.
You can have as it is or demould it and cut into squares.
Have a sweet diwali.
